Appian wins contract worth £430,000 with UK Police force

Appian Technology  has won a contract totalling £430,000 to install a major regional ANPR system with a UK police force. Appian, which won the contract after a competitive tender process, will integrate its system into the regional police system, installing 21 advanced Cobra ANPR cameras to cover a number of key trunk roads.

All data collected will be linked via a wireless network, also installed by Appian, to police computers running the Company's Talon neural network recognition engine.

Appian Chairman Pat Ryan said, "This contract, our fourth major win in under four months in the UK police market, was won was as result of excellent references and our depth of experience in delivering major fixed site ANPR systems. Appian's combination of world leading ANPR performance, expertise in complex delivery and project management, has resulted in this quick succession of contract wins."
